The Academic Board is the University's principal academic decision-making and advisory body. It was established by Statute 19 and the regulations made under the statute. The Senate of the university relies on the Academic Board for advice and recommendation on academic related matters. The Chair of Academic Board is elected from among its members and normally serves for a two year term in the first instance. A Deputy Chair and an Associate Chair are also elected from the Board membership. Meeting Dates

2012 Induction Package Sub-committee of the Board (the Nominating Committee)
The Board has nominees on Academic Council and on Senate and Council sub-committees. In the event that these positions are not filled through the standard nomination processes, it is the task of the Board's one sub-committee, the Nominating Committee, to nominate suitable persons. The Nominating Committee consists of the Chair, Deputy Chair, Chair Elect and Past Chair of the Board. The Academic Secretary is the secretary to the Nominating Committee. |
